at last naa na gyud ni reply sa akoang post. Thanks nosiddeh for your reply. For me martial arts is a way of life. First experience was just for self defense but later as i go deeper with in the art itself its is not just self defense but how do we define ourselves as a person. Sure it is self discipline but it is more than that. It define us on who we are. Thats why it is there to mold us to be better person's. Well thats for me to say on my experience. Hope everybody can share on this thread.

Martial arts had a good impact in my life. It was an interest at first, turned into hobby, later on a dedication, and now, a lifestyle. When I started doing martial arts, all I cared about was learning how to defend myself and at the same time, train to win competitions. Later on, I realized a lot more than that in martial arts. It helped me develop some very important values that I could apply in life. I was more patient and realized the value of hard work, persistence, dedication, and the like. It takes time to be good in martial arts, exactly the same thing in life. No good thing happens in an instant, we have to earn it one way or another and that's something that I learned in martial arts.

Summing it all up, martial arts made me a lot better as a person. Not only in a way that I could defend myself but more importantly, to be the best person that I could be. Martial arts is a part of me and I have a lot, lot more reasons to train and stay than to turn my back on it even if I have a lot of responsibilities and priorities now.
