how did you became the webmaster that you are

A webmaster?? thats what ive been longing for eversince i am in gradeschool. when i was a kid i reallly love programming and told myself, il be a programmer someday. in highschool my classmates ask me what i wanted to take when i will be collage. and i ask them somthing interesting and hard to achieve. i really want to be a webmaster someday i said.... they just laugh and no one believes me. After my highschool life i enrolled in a simple simple school. i take up course with major in programming. at that time also i ask myself is this all the skull can give to me.?? so i tried to get new ideas and train myself for those years. i learned c,jvascript, php mysql combinations, msql, vb scripting, flash scripting and middle databases like access and other stuff. after those years i was able to get that knowledge up until now im 20 yrs old. In graduation all my hard work is being repaid and i got awards that im really surpirse of. after graduation comes the search for job. my first application was in front of cdu. a company where programmers of any specialites are gathered. they hired me and i was shocked cus never expected i was hired at my first search for a job. and i told myself.. (this place is quite far form my home so i refused the manager) and i again search for another job and 3 companies called me up for an interview 2 of them i got hired and 1 didnt. after dat i choosed frm the 2 which i got hired and has chosen the closest in my home. now im a web programmer and working at the present time.

im currently working on my other site its not finished though LOL (thanks to my mentors and my friends out there)

OT: Your web site seems to be optimized for the keyword "free rpg games" and yet the RPG games mentioned like Resident Evil, Parasite Eve, ... come with a price. In addition, you emphasize "free" items as being present in some games. Your meaning of "free" is because you played them for free at your friends' houses.

No offense but this definition of "free" is on the verge of being ridiculous. I understand you're trying to catch visitors, but why choose "free rpg games" as your catch keywords?

Aww, c'mon, guys. Quit being silly. If you assemble together web pages and administer the whole web site, you are called a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webmaster"]webmaster[/url] by profession.

Hey, I would like to read about vern. Vern, you're next.

I am not really a webmaster. I like playing with the behind-the-scenes toys more than anything such as server administration, scripting, databases, etc. I leave the presentation to the user up to someone more talented and artistic. I've only really designed a handful of webpages. I did some pages when I worked with chronnus and dbgg1979 ... none compared to their work. I wrote a custom CMS as well as administered websites when I worked for the government and maintaining the design was part of the job. Even then, I kept the design simple and clean mostly because I wasn't artistic enough to come up with an original design. Currently I don't work with anything related to the web and I feel that when I do come back, I would already have fallen behind so much that I'd almost have to start from the beginning.

Who cares, the one who manages the website is the webmaster, including administering and designing.
And also to the higher skilled webmasters(web programmers) out there are also called power users.. of course.

i think most ppl here have self-taught themselves to what they are now... hehe... geeks who do photoshop, php and mysql...
