A management trainee role is a great way to obtain an overview of an organization and of various kinds of jobs within the organization.

For example, a Management Trainee hired by a department store may spend several months working as a clerk in one or more of the sales departments, followed by additional time working in customer services, purchasing, merchandising, and personnel departments.

Specific duties of a Management Trainee vary widely according to the nature of the industry and the individual firm employing the trainee. Very often, a trainee's assignments are rotated among the various departments in order to develop familiarity with the whole organization and its functions.

Trainees may also get classroom instruction in subjects related to their rotational experience. Instruction may include lectures, guest speakers, projects, and oral presentations. Some organizations evaluate with tests or exams to move to another level.

The idea of a management trainee job is to evaluate the trainee's leadership, decision-making, problem solving, communication and organization skills, then find their niche in the company. Basically, trainees will progress and succeed based on how hard they work and the area where they excel.

I honestly don't see any disadvantages in this position. But then again, it depends on the person sad. hehe

Here are my tips for this position (I've been in this position for 3 years before I got promoted):
Practice good communication skills (it is the most important aspect when being in management, you'll be in contact with everyone that's involved with the company, even the consumers)
Practice making harder or complex decisions (this will help you take on more responsibilities)
Practice how to handle customer complaints (be always diplomatic in this)
Always be a team player (you don't have to be a push-over, but success comes with the help of others)
Always welcome criticism (one great way of learning, keep an open-mind)
Never say 'It's not my job' (the task was given/delegated to you, it is now your job to do it)
Never stop learning or studying (subordinates demands a lot from their superiors, so a broad knowledge of the business would go a long way)
Always acknowledge the good work/deeds of your colleagues (as management your role now is to direct or lead, you can't lead if you can't inspire or motivate people)

jollibee and chowking are sister company. hasta greenwich, delifrance, red ribbon ug uban pa. sister company ra na sila. ingon ana kadatu si jollibee. sa jollibee ang management trainee is preparation for shift management na position. basically, you will learn all the different task inside a store/branch like cashiering, kitchen task, dining and cash control. it really is a hard job. once you graduated from being a trainee makaingon jud ka nga very kapoy. you will work 10-12 hours a day without any overtime pay. nagkabati man work dire sa jollibee kay daghan kaau kag buhaton pero gamay lang kaau ang rate. if you will be assigned to a 24-hour na stores mas grabe jud ni kakapoy. and as grabe jud ka kapoy kung gamay ra mo managers sa isa ka store kay halos wala na mo restday. if you are still single it is a good place to gain experience. if you are married and have kids, mahutdan jud ka ug time sa imong family. puro na lang work imong mahuna huna. expect na lang mo nga dili mo kaapil ug mga holidays and local holiday events like sinulog and sometimes christmas and most especially new year kay mag year end inventory. Seriously, this company needs to check on their manager's conditions.

ang nakanindot pud kay naa jud syay security of tenure. i never heard of any managers nga nakick out maskin unsa pa ka bati ang performance. (although ma transfer lang). apil ang family sa mga benefits. lots of trainings, seminars. naa jud xay career path (from management trainee, shift management, assistant store managers, store managers, area managers, .... and so on) although only a few survived. you will learn a lot from this company. it is a very good training ground for those who are applying for abroad na fastfood related. kay daghan kaau managers dire nga nanlupad na. If you are a PEOPLE PERSON, nindot jud ni kay you will get to meet a lot of people from service crews to customers.

for me nindot ang jollibee pero gamay lang jud ang pay (kung i compare sa imong workload) kung single ka dako2x na cguro ni ilang pay. hehe. and as for me... i'm resigning before the end of the year. Guys kung naa moy nahibaw-an nga maapplyan diha pm me lang ha. hehehe.

Good luck sa mga gusto magmanagement trainee.
