A friend of mine in Barangay Sambag 1 told me that one of his neighbors is a bakeshop operator (not Julie's), and that operator is worried about the higher expenses that will hit the business if Osmena's proposal becomes a law. That bakeshop has 10 employees, paid with above-minimum wage rates.

And according to the baker, sales of bread on holidays are not that strong based on the bakeshop's history.
