actually bai reyg, this encompasses being from manila and being from cebu. if you read the original letter, he did try to resolve the issue internally within themselves lang. unfortunately lang Cueshe's drummer did not give out a favorable response to his attempts...

His email was merely a "heads-up" sa drummer of Cueshe to fellow drummers niya sa iya ka yahoogroup. i mean, im not a drummer, but if someone borrows my guitar in a gig (which will never happen ), i do make sure that he signs the proper papers muna for accountability and responsibility.

The issue here is "stewardship" of your music gear... some people just dont undertand that word eh, specially non-musicians...

Most musicians bring their own gear sa gigs... (unless the venue or promoters/producers provide kits) especially snare drums `cause a snare drum is a more personalized sound more than anything else. ----------------

And about CEBU vs MANILA crap ... I think VINCI is way above that petty thing. We're talking about a professional here... dili taw nga mobo ug pangutok.

** if you also scroll back a few pages.. this thing has already been explained several times. Let me enlighten you a bit :: Most gigs diha, the promoter or producer hires a technical rider to supply the instruments.. a contract is signed and a security deposit is handed over to cover damages.... Now, if a musician wrecks an equipment, covered na to siya sa kontrata.... sa scenario ni VINCI, he brought his own equipment.. he is not covered by any security deposit or contract. I guess this will explain why ni reklamo si Vinci..

By the way.. you'll read CUJO's comment about CUESHE's drummer .. he wasn't specific about it but it will give you an idea ...."it's this simple... drummer ko and i've played right after cueshe'. this message sends fair warning.."

(CUJO was URBAN DUB's original drummer.. and now plays for Sheila and the Insects.. man, I hope Cujo doesn't mind me spilling his identity... ).

* It's NOT about CEBU or MANILA and it's not even about CUESHE. It is about MIKE's (Cueshe's drummerboy) "admirable" attitude. I think if one makes a mistake he/she should be man/woman enough to acknowledge and admit that he/she did make one and make amends. ACCOUNTABILITY pipol! What you wreck, you pay. siguro tan-aw nimo lingaw cya tan-awon...but if u were just a musician, its not lingaw or not lingaw...its a normal thing that every other musicians in this forum knew. FYI even other drummers bring their own pedals, cymbals ug unsa panang gamiton nya nga dili nimo normally makita sa usual nga set..artists gani sa states usually haul their own kits every performance. and i think dili cya lingaw or kataw-anan tan-awn. theyre professionals, if i were to describe them.
