I had drinks with my friends last night. And LOVE has always been the staple of every drinking sessions, right? Then I became the hotseat since most of my friends are married and have gfs/bfs. They have all these conclusions that I'm too picky, too much of a workaholic and even too good -- all these reasons why I am still single.

What didn't sit well on me is the last remark,

"Bootan ra kaayo ka Bey. Ma-guilty magbinoang nimo ang laki nimo mao na dili nalang sila nimo."

"Pag minaldita lageh, tan-awa, dili ka buwi-an."

Ing-ana diay na? all the while I thought that's the usual benchmark for anyone if they are searching for their possible mates... At the back of my mind, I was asking who in the right mind would want for a really mean partner?

Or could I be wrong? what do you think guys? Are my friends right?

I do have my own share of vices but I know my limitations. Sobra ka bootan -- in a sense, good-natured jud. Someone who sees good in people, who doesn't nag, who always understands and in realtionship-wise, tarong jud na gf.

I have my worst side too but I rarely use it man coz I feel it's not me. My closest friends or acquaintances would see me as someone cheerful, dugay masuko and too trusting lang pod sa tawo.

As I've read your replies, guys.. I've noticed that guys would want someone who has a feisty side which is hiding somewhere. And you would go for someone who can give you the thrill especially when you guys are alone... hmmm quite interesting

ayaw lang ug tuo dayon bai. wla man cguroy laki nga ganahan ug maldita nga girl, i think only jerks do.
in a different sense cguro ang gi mean nga magminaldita, not literally maldita jud. kay naa man pud maldita in a cute way. i just can't exactly define how i find it cute or how is it being cute. basta lahi ra jud ang feeling. one factor pud is ang level of love, kay everything you do - binuotan or minaldita, wla ra jud na. he already sees you as what you are. in short, it does not matter maldita or dli. just find the guy who's right for you.
