Hi guys can you help choose between these two flash guns?

hi!

I want to by a flash for non-professional usage (family, portraits, small parties) sa akoang Canon 450D.
wala man gud koi kwarta para sa canon brand so im asking for an advice esp strobists. Lets say wala jud koy idea about strobing but im really willing to learn. sige kog basa about strobing but mag lisod kog sabot gud kung walay ma praktisan.hehe

Here goes, these are the two flashes im thinking of buying.. .

Im thinking of buying the vivitar since ive read online that its good for off-cam usage but I think if im not mistaken its worth a thousand more than the nissin di622.

My question is this:

1. Does this flash gun work well with my 450D?

2. Is it worth it to shell out a thousand more for the vivitar or will the di622 be enough?

although nissin di622 is fast, great, and durable flash proven by my colleagues, but since youre a canon, go for the vivitar.

i think bought are quite similar priced. around 7+k

My vote goes to vivitar 383.

never heard the durability of the specific vivitar 383 yet(might due to its new in our place) but the nissin di622 is. nissin is japanese brand made. but for wireless aspect, vivitar is friendlier in canon.

i'm currently messing my less than a month old Di622 kai tungod sa flash trigger. i've done that Youtube DIY modification para lang mo work sa akong napalit nga 3rd party (CowboyStudio) PT-04 trigger.

mka trigger raman diay sa flash WITHOUT breaking it apart pero pwerting daghanag misfires..
like 10 plus times usa mka trigger...

so before you guys open this flash for modification try cheaking all components like battery sa
Transmitter/Reciever and the flash itself.

murag dali ra ni mo standby. kng ga "Blinking" gani ang suga di gyd ni mo trigger.

before you buy this flash maybe you consider its younger brother Di622 Mark II nga naa nai additional function for wireless triggers.

kung mag Nissin Di622 ka.. kanang markII palita ky compatible sa Cannon Ettl
