Rainbow ang brand. It's a rebranded China-made player (Changhong) with mt13x9 chip (Did some research before buying). But those portable types sell for P3k+. You're better off buying the non-portable types which are less than P2K. But if you want future upgradability (depends on the chip used), buy Philips Divx players also sold at Makro. Most Phiips Divx players can be upgraded for future enhancements.Originally Posted by juan_coqs

@clemryan&vrad03: Grabe kaayo ang tradeoff when you try to squeeze more than 4 hours worth of anime into one dvd video. I've made 8-10 1-hour eps sa una (Star Trek eps) but the video was very grainy na. It will take hours of transcoding believe me. I got the idea from a Trekkie who once did 10-12 1-hour eps to fit on one dvd. He has now stopped doing transcoding and has since bought a divx capable dvd player.
@ cooldude75ph : dagahng salamat bro..nindot kaau imo mga info... :mrgreen:
tnx dude mybe thats a gud idea just use divx player
by the way how to i burn divx? directly burn the avi file to the dvd-r?
and the player will automatically detect avi file on dvd?
Diretso ra burn ra on dvdr or cdr :mrgreen:Originally Posted by clemryan

Simple lang kaayo. Walay loss of quality during transcoding for all video files to fit on a dvdr.
In the long run, mas dako imong masave since you won't be leaving your computer on just for transcoding.
@cooldude75ph
thanks for the useful info bro, if naapa gani ka idea on transcoding sa mga anime file, usually rmvb files. please post it here. thanks sa cool info...
Here's what I learned: most of these 20 EPs per DVD are in fact dual-layer DVD's. Last time I checked in CDR King, the cheapest brand cost P 200/disc. Dual-layers can store around 7.95 GB (though advertised as 8.5GB).
That's the only option I see for you, if you want it to play as DVD MPEG-2, as compared to MPEG4(XVID ,DIVX, MP4)
ڤيكتور البَرت جَبيلاغين
but why are these vendors are selling those dual-layer maybe DVD at P80.00? im sure its not a dual layer, coz dual layer cost to much... their secret must be revealed, heheheOriginally Posted by Viktor
guys, if you still want to experiment with maximizing how much eps or hours of video ma-sulod sa dvd-video, gamit lang og TMPGEnc Studio (forgot what components I used exactly but it most of what I used came from package).
Ang resultant dvd may or may not work with your dvd player since naa mga karaan kaayo nga dvd players nga mu-play lang kung mu-adhere sa strict dvd-video encoding standards...
