I don't think there's a course specifically for this type of job. But I think MassCom, Management Accounting, or Business Administration (especially Hospitality Management) would help in the basics.
Focus developing on these aspects:
· Crowd control
· Knowledge of parade development
· Knowledge of principles, techniques and methods required in marketing, promotions, public and media relations
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
· Ability to identify event problems and take effective course of action
· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with those contracted in the course of work
· Ability to write scripts
· Ability to plan and implement large scale events
