I cant use ftp. Just the file manager, and I can only set 1 file/folder at a time. I'm not sure if there really is a way to do it simultaneously.

    Thanks..
of course... there are many FTP program that can support CHMOD It can help you quick, easy and fast.
Just search for FTP program that supports it.
cpanel will take you forever... lol

    friendly advice lang .

hey... this is not hacking or illegal stuff....... you are over reacting.
I know being ethical....... but this is technical stuff....

It's a webserver... Imagine, installing this istorya SMF forums requires permission settings on the webserver.
    That is hacking? Think again...

"try nalang sa cafe" <--- what kind of advice is that? Hello! Security issue here! Cafe?
Are you for real? Things are upside-down now?
What "if" kung ang hacking tool ay naka-installed sa cafe. Then who's to blame?

naka block ang FTP port bai, port 21. so using FTP programs is no use.
and the topic is about cpanel.

my advice na lang to you DarkMatter:
    1. If you're on a linux server, then i'm pretty sure there's a Webshell3 module installed in your cpanel. I presume the amount of files aren't that numerous.
    or
    2. Do it at home, if you don't want to risk your job or risk security issues on some lame ar$e keylogger installed on a cheap ar$e pc in a cafe. we don't want `em spams and stuff get in our inbox do we? and using an FTP program at home would save the hassle of CHMODing each files one by one.

@potterboy: I didnt say I am trying to break through the settings the admin has restricted me to. I didnt say I wanted to use ftp in the office. I was just trying to inquire here if there is by chance a way to do setting of files/folders permission via Cpanel simultaneously.

@All: You pipz are all right. Maybe there isnt really a way to do it via Cpanel. Guess I'll have to stick with it thru ftp and do it outside the office, which is of course a more convenient and appropriate way.

    Thanks pipz..
oops sorry for the term hacking. i could have used 'illegal entry then'? 'na generalize nuon. my bad.

anyways, its still against company policies kung molusot gyud sya. everybody knows that. he is doing non-business related activites on company properties. anyways... hehehe...

@dodie: id still say he is risking his job if he pushes through doing it inside the company.

@flashfreak: bai, it's a linux server. but i cant seem to find webshell3 on the cpanel.

@potterboy: thank you for the replies. but the topic is not about where I should do the work or what policies I shouldnt break. the issue in here is simply about CPanel, and (again, let me write it in a strong weight) its ability to set file/folder permissions simultaneously via its File Manager. anyways, thank you for your concern.
