i think of japanese origin na nga medallion bro..in my own observation, the front depicts a samurai(not necessarily samurai, basin ordinary swordsman ra diay) looking down from a hill on a burning castle..
clue no 1.) the burning building resembles medieval japanese architecture..you can see it on the layered roofs-kinda style..
clue no 2.) you can see nga naay duha ka sheaths or scabbards nga nagsiwil sa iyang kilid..this is probably the katana(long sword) and wakizashi(short sword) of a samurai which was the standard
weapons of medieval samurai and lastly the banner on his back probably means he was allied with a certain faction..maybe this dates back to the time of tokugawa, hideyoshi and nobunaga..
the back probably is a map of sorts..you can see a mountain peak and a road on it..the text probably depicts the names of places/towns or landmarks around that area..as to its purpose, it's probably a commemoration of some battle or someting handed down in a family in honor of some ancestor..
ambot lng if pilay value ana pro mahal tingali considering it is probably hundreds of years old and it looks like it's in good condition..you should research on Japanese museums and see if naa kay makit.an na prehas ug hitsura ana..
saag man abot man medalion anyway 100k ok na sa ordinary metal tag-anon nalnag nako daan...
