    @mr.romantic - thats the thing, you only see yourself as having a vacation. ang situation sa businesses kung ning ani nig 25 close na tanan up to 1 murag ungno ang cebu. an example: nya asa man mamalit og mga groceries or mga makaon ang mga taw or pang palit sa mga gift. nya kato mga business nga mag export especially to asian countries nga walay december holidays ingon lang nig january nalang namo e shift ang stocks mag holiday sa mi. maayog dli ka bombahan sa clients nimo sa.


    @masakiton - yup no work no pay, if ana gyud walay work for 8 days then dont expect to celebrate new year.

    @masakiton - again your only pointing out your view as an employee that wants to have a good long vacation with pay (tapulan?), I'm being practical ang realistic here small business of course mu close nang mga hardwares and other non profitable businesses at those time, you dont see malls closing in any of those dates and export companies dont close during those time especially if thier target market is in China or Japan which doesnt see Christmass (Japan naay Christmass but it still a working day, not really a National Holiday) and New Year (China) in those dates.
