The impeachment complaints filed for this year are just being sued as media exposure of those in the opposition who will be running for senator next year.

They knew very well that they don't have enough pieces of evidence, if there is any, to prove for their allegations to the president. All they wanted is to create some political noise, make their names appear in national television, so that it will be easily remembered by the people come election time.

IF the second impeachment complaint won't prosper this time around, I'd be expecting the 3rd or the 4th to suffer the same fate if the opposition intends to go that route. here's a very valid reason: "ningas kugon", sounds cliche' right? but that's what Filipinos are made of, that's how we operate. that's what we're known for. unless the opposition finds another "skeleton" in PGMA's closet that would implicate her of wrongdoings (without the shadow of a doubt) in the previous election --was that 2 years ago?-- then there's a chance that another impeachment complaint would prosper after 3-4 years after the fact. imagine that, four years... a lot of things can still happen..

but impeachment or not, I know for sure that the opposition will find "another issue" that would help them put their name on, not for the greater good of the constituents but for their own selfish desires.. sad.. but that's what's happening right now and expectedly in the years to come.

If the opposition is sincere in serving the interests of the country, they would accept the fact that they lost in the elections and move on and help PGMA with her programs for the benefit of the country. Thereby they will show their statesmanship.

Let's get real, then.

The opposition had their chance to say their piece last year. I still remember how the opposition brags about the infallibility of their impeachment complaint, how they brag for the numbers and all, and how certain they were it would prosper. They were confident especially since the issue was still a hot item during that time. Still, they were not able to prove the allegations and accusations they have stated. They were not able to convince at least 79 people to vote for the impeachment complaint to prosper.

Now they are pushing for the same plan, since they cannot in any extra-legal way oust a working president. Right now, the people won't even like to hear what they would say. Why? Because for the year that was after the impeachment complaint did not prosper before the lower house, they have done so much to divide this nation and pour all allegations against this government but to no avail.

The people don’t want a divided nation. We may have differences, but the people wanted to be united to progress.

The people don't to hear what they say? Kng ato tan-awon sa survey it says otherwise. Nobody can claim that the people are for them... coz in reality, the people only care for themselves. They are dividing our country? our country has long been divided. Even GMA admitted that in front of Rizal's grave. That she is one of the reason why the country is divided.

I agree with you that people don't want a divided nation and wanted to unit for progress... but i don't support those people who are caught red-handed and skirt the issue for the sake of unity daw. We all know here that she indeed was caught cheating in the Garci tape... you just have different views on it. Some says that "who doesn't cheat", some uses the "legalistic ploy" that it's not acceptable in court. Now the issue is there... she must face it, kay as long nga wala niya natubag og klaro ang issue. Wala jud na kahomanan og lantugi. Kay wala'y politiko ma administration o opposition nga mo sugot na lng og ibaon na lng natin sa limot... Kay kng ang administration ingon ana sab... ang kaso ni Honasan pag 2003 og kang Beltran nga 1986 pa, gikalimtan na sab onta na nila. So the current administration is lesser? naaa...
