siguro... but the technology is already there... I remember that one of the satellites before was able to identify a plate number of a car. Sigurado ko bai nga naa na ni nga technology.

yes,i remember that one too... and it is possible to track nowadays...the technology in james bond movies way before are now slowly becoming a reality. with regards to our air capabilities here with our Air force, we have one of the very versatile and skilled Pilots around the globe but sad to say we don't have the Aircrafts to use.

after i resigned from the army as part of their regular officers, i came back to my civilian life. but the civilian life for me is not enough so i decided to re-join my reserve unit in the Air Force. and sad to say we don't have available RADAR for Air defense operations... we only have RADARs used in the ATO and PAG-ASA, for Air traffic controls and weather forecasting respectively.

and this fact is very alarming if we are to keep the sovereignty of our country safe.

i can still remember one of the critical questions i got from the Chairman of the Board for the Phil. Army Officer Candidate Course(which is Infantry in nature)..."if you are given a chance to choose, which department/ division in the Army would you like to be/ serve?"... in a panel of seven Army officers mostly from the Infantry Division of course i was expected to reply "in the Infantry Sir!" but in the back of my mind i wasn't much convinced in that idea of impressing them, instead i answered "Research and Development, Sir"... there was o few moment of silence after that and they are starting to look at each other wearing smiles on their faces...

we have a lot of great foot soldier here...in fact we are one of the most skilled in Jungle Survivals, and Tropical Terrain Operations even before the deployment of GPS and IRs in our troops... but these troops also need development in equipments especially weapons and communications. our Armed Forces need rehabilitation in the sense that they should finance a project for "military competency"... we are not expecting for war but through a strong military system we can uplift our esteem and confidence in our country...

“A NATION OF TRAINED MEN READY TO DEFEND THEIR COUNTRY HAS THE LASTING RESPECT OF ITSELF AND OF THE WORLD,” on the other hand,
“A NATION OF HELPLESS CITIZENS CAN EXPECT NOTHING BUT SLAVERY AT HOME AND CONTEMPT ABROAD.”

the "hueys" and the "520s" are still the most reliable aircraft we can immediately use in counter-insurgencies... although we have F-5 jets but the problem is that we have less flight hours with these jets due to the fuel expenses... c-130 is still operational and flying alone in the sky now...heheheh. during one of our rehearsals with the "hueys" we have NVG capable "hueys" in the Philippines... only that they are deployed in mindanao and other critical areas... not all "hueys" are NVG capable, and similarly not all pilots are NVG capable.

so in terms of insurgencies (internal threats) within our AOR we are pretty sure we are capable. but if we are to consider the external threats? uh uh... nada! we are still relying on our allies. maybe some enthusiasts would stay behind in our country to settle some of their inventions or innovations for us to use rather than going abroad, selling the patent (and getting the compensation) to other countries well the fact is, it is "Philippine Made". on the other hand, it is a reality that we don't have the facilities here yet to cater that....hahahaha... but it is not yet to late if any of us will make the first move and work together...

guys... the problem with us in our Air Force is not in the procurement of Aircrafts... alhough the aircrafts you mentioned like F22, F16, MIG29, etc. are not available for sale, we have the problem somewhere else.even if we can afford to buy one, even just one F-8 or F14 (since it is being outdated by the new ones) the problem is the sustainability...especially in the fuel consumption...that's the reason why our F-5s are "flightless" now... just like a "dodo" bird...hehehehe
