    Default Cpanel File Manager- setting files/folders permissions

    Hello pipz,

    I am desperate. I can't find on the web any info on how to set files/folders permissions simultaneously via the File Manager in Cpanel. Care to help? I'm beginning to wonder if there really is a way..

    I cant use ftp. Just the file manager, and I can only set 1 file/folder at a time. I'm not sure if there really is a way to do it simultaneously.

    Thanks..

    May i ask what's your purpose in doing this? If i understand you right (correct me if im wrong), you want to set access permissions to your shared folder, am i right?

    Not exactly. As I have mentioned earlier, I cant use ftp connections, just web-based file manager like that of the Cpanel. The situation is this: I am trying to work on my website here at the office but the ftp setting is restricted by the admin. I have no other choice but to work via my web browser..

    for that case bro, i guess nobody can help you here even if a lot of people here know what the workaround is. you see, im in an it dept now and by my line of work, it is a violation. considered hacking.

    better be safe. just code your website nalang and try nalang sa cafe ug view sa results than risk ur job or be warned here.
    friendly advice lang .

    Lol, di mana hacking.... he's just asking is there a way to change file restrictions in file manager via cpanel sa webserver (sakto ba?) nga dungan tanan.
    True its may be agauinst company policy, but it is not illegal.

    File restrictions ang pina ka dali is thru ftp gyud But if wala, manu manu gyud.... even sa pag upload ug files hasul man gani if thru cpanel Kay limited rah... pero if you cant use anything else and you really need to upload... kana nalang gyud

    @potterboy: I didnt say I am trying to break through the settings the admin has restricted me to. I didnt say I wanted to use ftp in the office. I was just trying to inquire here if there is by chance a way to do setting of files/folders permission via Cpanel simultaneously.

    @All: You pipz are all right. Maybe there isnt really a way to do it via Cpanel. Guess I'll have to stick with it thru ftp and do it outside the office, which is of course a more convenient and appropriate way.

    Thanks pipz.. :mrgreen:

    If you webhost has Web Shell 3 module then it won't be a hassle in CHMOD

    <edit: wrong module ^___^ >
