Heat to train at Florida military base

...The Miami Heat announced Wednesday night that they'll hold their first camp with James,Wade andBosh at Hurlburt Field and Eglin Air Force Base in Florida's Panhandle from Sept. 28 to Oct. 3. Miami has typically held training camp at its home arena, but in an effort to limit distractions going into this much-hyped season, the Heat wanted a different locale.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra wanted the camp there after getting presented with the idea by team trainer Jay Sabol. Once military officials agreed, the deal was struck.

"This is a terrific opportunity for our team," Spoelstra said. "The base will provide the ideal setting for us to focus on basketball and building camaraderie with limited distractions..."

...James famously said he would "take my talents to South Beach" when announcing his decision to join the Heat on July 8, and there will be plenty of time for that to happen. The Heat will return to South Florida two days before opening the preseason at home against Detroit on Oct. 5...

...The Heat plan to practice twice daily during camp, although that's subject to change...

Nauso lage ni ang military base karon sa NBA. Lately pod Kyle Korver visited a military base and participated in a 3pt shot contest. There was a time also this offseason when NBA stars participated in a pick up game against military personnels.

this team is dead serious, I'm very very sure they are motivated by their critics and doubters. Naa jud sila gusto i-prove. The only thing I still like sa team is their coach. lahi pud ang feeling ma champion sila then ila coach may dugong Filipino. Pero lisod jud mo cheer nila.

ako dili pako ka sure ug ka abot sila sa ECF. last season wala man gani ko nag expect sa Celtics maka abot sa ECf, much more sa Finals.

i dont know why i got this feeling that coach Erik Spoelstra isnt gonna coach the team... i think pat riley will because he is into this.. he is as angry as hell when someones saying something about the team.

That's what i thought also, Riley will coach the Heat this season.
