    Default Internet Explorer 9

    Internet Explorer 9 Beta is now available to download. Yes I know we've since moved on to Firefox and even Chrome these days, but the guys at Redmond have been busy and it doesn't hurt to test their latest creation. (Note: No support for XP. Vista and 7 only)

    --> Download Site

    I've been testing it for last the hour or so and I am finding it faster on startup. General browsing is very speedy as well. My only complain is the UI. As you can see on the screenshot, the address/location bar and tabs bar are in one toolbar now and you can't seem to re-arrange it. Hopefully they will allow us to do so in the final version.

    Main change man daw ni sa IE9 bro, ang pag mash sa tanan in one space para mas dako ang browsing area / workspace. Nag testing pud ko kanina, it looks really nice and it gives a better feel than the previous versions.

    I can understand what they are trying to do, and I'm all for a cleaner UI myself. The problem is when you have so many tabs open, it can get a little cramped since it's placed together with the address bar. They could have just placed the Tab bar at the top, since the title bar is kinda wasted at the moment.

    Still though, good effort from Microsoft. And since this is only a beta, they may still change a few things after getting all the feedback from users.

    I'm also very glad that they finally added a built-in downloaded manager. Good stuff.

    thanks for the update TS. it looks like chrome from the screen shot though.. i have given up using IE since 2001.. (main target for security attacks) I'm comfy with chrome now, but im gonna take a look at this and give it a try.
