problem with the local "wood shaving/kusot" is its not as absorbent as the imported ones so its not as effective as a result you tend to clean at ashorter intervals due to the smell. The imported may be a little expensive but for me its worth every centavo. in my experience breeding your own feeders doesn't really save you any money especially mice which takes long to grow. I spend like 600 a week just for the bedding alone but for me its worth it since i have a peace of mind knowing I feed my snakes quality feeders that i raise myself.
