It is unfair for HK to blame the entire Phil for the tragedy but it is enraging for the Filipinos to try to put the blame back to HK. True, they have their shortcomings and we have ours... but instigating a hate campaign just adds fuel to the fire... both chinese and filipinos each suffered racism from each other....but only those who are inconsiderate can afford to throw trash in the midst of an emotional tragedy rather than understanding and compassion... must we blurt out hateful words for our own satisfaction? we should stop this nonsense.... it has no purpose but to seemingly wash our hands on the tragedy that has befallen on us...

@cheboyakoa - about the melanine case, they did apologize on international media namely BBC, and executed the ones responsible.

the case is common, its the same thing that happend in America during the 9/11 event where people would just run over arabs using the cars or murder them out of anger and for without reason.

as to why the chinese are so angry is because our government refused to let chinese investigators come in and investigate for themselves, chances are those casualties are friendly fire. other reasons include the stupidity of our police when they had so many chances to put the hostage taker down earlier and they didnt do it and lastly was only the Filipno passengers were released during the negotiations.

quite frankly racist bya gyud ang mga Filipino towards the Chinese, its envy from seing the Chinese as being so succesfull and us being so damn poor (no matter the reason be it illegal or legal, succesfull gyud and Chinese not just when compared to Filipinos but in the world stage). this is fact and dont try to deny it.

Unsa man ni typical pinoy attitude blaming others in order to deflect responsibility? How clueless is this. First you are lumping all people of HK as one. They aren't firing maids left and right, there are a few that do, but they are still hiring pinay maids. Next, you misunderstood why they are pissed off, it's not that the incident happened but because the handling of the incident was completely botched PLUS the insensitive acts of our leaders. Did the Chinese president smile after the so-called hacking incident at tiananmen square? Third, HK is not China. They are under one country two systems, but the law states that HK is to be considered a separate autonomous entity that runs its own affairs. Fourth, China did in fact take immediate action after the melamine scandal, and many people were put to death or prison because of that. Now, how many police have been put to death or in prison because of the hostage situation. In fact, why wasn't the criminal Mendoza put in prison when he was accused of two criminal offenses already?

Get your facts straight before you engage in misplaced nationalism. You seem to think that if they let all the maids go home, they will suffer more than we will. Don't be crazy. They will just hire maids from Indonesia.
