Diaz says sorry to Cebuanos for ‘slur’ - INQUIRER.net, Philippine News for Filipinos

She, however, said she was sorry even though she said she did not have any intention of insulting anybody.

Referring to the alleged slur, Diaz said the way the soundbytes of her interview were put together was not exactly the statement she meant.

“Sabi ko yeah, I think it (having an interpreter) is good it depends on the person, ang sabi ko if a Cebuano who does not speak good English or Tagalog he should speak in Bisaya. Or an Ilocano for that matter,” said Diaz in an interview with ABS-CBN's “E-Live” talk show.

“So I am sorry na ganu'n ang tingin nilang nasabi ko but like I have explained it is an edited (video interview). It is a soundbyte to a long long interview,” Diaz said.
