actually.... there is a flaw with this solution.
by cancelling similar terms on both sides means that you divide both sides by it, which in this case is...

(A+B)(A-B) = A(A-B)
(A-B)............(A-B)

and in math, there is a rule
you can not divide any number by zero.
Because any number [except for zero] divided by zero is undefined.

since A=B, A-B=0

which makes that statement wrong and unacceptable.

thus 2 != 1.

since you change the value of B or A in its equivalent, why did you not change the rest of your equation? why is that only the denominator has changed? for me in simplification no substitution must allow until the simplest form is arrive...
