techPowerUp! News :: Gigabyte Sells HD 5670 512 MB HyperMemory Card as 1 GBGigabyte is allegedly into dubious marketing schemes once again. A disgruntled user in East Asia who picked up the company's GV-R567HM-1GI graphics card was shocked to find half the "advertised" memory available to him. The GV-R567HM-1GI is an ATI Radeon HD 5670 based graphics card that physically has only 512 MB of GDDR5 memory, yet advertises on its box and labels that the card provides 1 GB GDDR5 memory with ATI HyperMemory technology. The "HyperMemory" part is very inconspicuous and nowhere on the front box is the actual memory amount mentioned.

ngeks.. mahulog jd nga ilad sa dili kaau techy kay makita man sa box nga 1GB na ang mem not realizing naka hypermemory diay to katunga lng ang tinuod nga mem... saorns..

misleading kayo ang box... hypermemory @ 1gb /128bit... but ang actual hardware is 512mb@64bit--- unsa ra kaha performance level ani ai...

^128-bit man bro, ang memory size ra ang problema. Actually from a techie's POV, mahibal-an jud nimo nga Hypermemory na ng 1GB. They should made it much more clearer. Like "512mb Up to 1GB Hypermemory"....

kani style oso ni siya sa mga laptop na naay dedicated video card brand... ingon 1gb but sa tinuod 512mb ra. kay mo borrow diay sa hypermemory...

hrmm..one way to find out without testing the card is kung tanawon nimo ang likod sa card naa bay 4 extra memory chips..kung wala 512mb ra na.

nice find, but dili kaayo sya nindot kay mukuha sya sa system memory nimo para sa hyper memory feature niya.
