Duda ko you misheard it from him. Impossible kaayo 2k iyang isingil nimo to return the braces. Mahulog back to square one ka! The economics of that procedure won't allow him to charge you at that price.

But i have to wonder WHY man imo na gipatangtang BEFORE gihire ka sa airline company? Usually the interviewer will request for it IF necessary. Ang imong gibuhat nag-una-una ka before klaro pa ang tanan.

Ang ending ani bai you put yourself in a lose-lose situation. 1) You decided - under impulse, no doubt - to have your braces removed without GUARANTEE from your employer. 2) You tried to weasel out of an honest estimate from a dentist to do a very time-consuming procedure.

Ako ra matambag nimo, from a jobhunter perspective, don't ever sacrifice anything you have for an employer kai to them you're just a name and a number. May'g ulian ka ana if ever madawat ka or DILI madawat? It won't be a problem replacing you with someone else. And ikaw pa effort2x paka diha madawat and nahulog ra sa wala. I understand we should "invest" a little to get a job but, 28k for an airline company? Pweh! Believe me, your income won't cover the expense of those braces even with all the promises of seeing the world!

I'm sorry for ranting but I just can't stand the thought na nagpaexploit/seduce ka ug company like that! What's done is done but next time always play the "sigurista" when job hunting bai. It may not be the same ideas of other people here but it's what keeps my employers or potential employers in check. Mas maayo ipaconsult gyud. But I'm sure any dentist would charge more or less the same. Maskin gani kanang braces imo gipataud ug laing dentist nya sa lain ka pahugot the new dentist will charge exceptionally high for the income he/she did not earn from it. Common sense would tell us wala na siya braces, ergo, back to zero. In principle, wala na siya nagpauli, nagpataud gyud siya balik ug braces.
