Anyway, regarding DSLRs being used for serious videography, They actually used 5D Mark IIs to shoot the entire finale of House Season 6 because of its size. The whole episode was shot in very tight spaces.
House Season Finale Filmed Entirely with Canon 5D Mark II

But I doubt if the ts will care much for this though. Hehehe.

hahaha!^^ obviously it should. its the hell very expensive 5D MarkII of a hundred thousand plus plus pesos worth(body only yet, no lens) full frame high-end dslr camera ^^ not to mention they were using prime and top lenses from canon which are of no cheap ^^

with those overall costs, one can buy higher model of professional-level video camcorder. but they disclosed the reason why.. its not solely about of a dslr camera used as recording video overly replacing a dedicated professional video camcorder but the limited space.. they even complained about the difficulty of focusing due to its not dedicatedly designed for.

by the way, beor has this 5D MarkII full frame dslr and i remember he had shot a video in it with a fish eye lens in our sunrise photo shoot outing before with the late well-known professional photographer & senior moderator here, his very close friend, benjie ordoņez (aka pnoize). it was even meant for teasing and joke but the output was a blast.

mind you, don't be caught by numbers. you are taking it as with megapixel marketing poison by camera manufacturer nowadays..

thats only a 640px of fake resolution

Interlace signal is developed for old “cathode ray tube” television as its native signal. progressive signal is optimized for LCDs and LCD televisions(HDTVs).

    progressive scan:
    axis network progressive camera

    interlace scan:
analog(as like with crt tv) cctv interlace camera

interlace scan is a big no no for fast paced movies/videos.

analog man na nga tv gi gamit oi

    anyway...
gi ilad ra daw ta anang 1080i?

maypag wala na lang diay na gihimo ang 1080i

i think gasige na man ko basa anang progressive vs interlaced
mao lagi daw kay mas preferable ang progressive kung fast moving ang scenes

    pero that doesn't mean
nga gi FOOL ra ang mga tawo anang 1080i bro
unya FAKE ra daw ang extra pixels nga 360

asa nimo gi tandi diay bro?

meaning they really know what to use for sa full hd video feature sa dslr

    Gentlemen...

I really enjoy reading the conversation specially about the D90 vs 550D HD, but you're going off-topic and off-topics can get you some rewards. I really want to follow more in this discussion,so can you guys start a new thread instead?

I think the question stated by the TS was already answered at pages 1 & 2. No need to push this further.

    No thread hijacking too.

I'm locking this thread now. Please continue your conversation in a new thread like "550D vs D90, which one is better in terms of HD video? "

oh, don't ask me. I love Canon

    thread locked.
