i thought mendoza made a great thing of exposing the INCOMPETENCE of the PNP towards incidents like hostages...

Yeah... Nonoy talked about worse incidents in other countries, namely Russia. Well, if one mentally deranged ex-cop caused this much trouble then I think nine heavily armed terrorists would be completely unmanageable. This episode was tragic and very much avoidable. It also exposes enormous shortcoming in PNP and government emergency response.

nobody should give mendoza and his family media exposure anymore. it's enough. they have to stop! someone has to tell media to give it a break. it has caused more damage. if we wanna have peace and restore diplomatic relations with HK, the govt. should do something about this. and please remove the bus in quirino if it is still there! why do they have to let it stay there for days. it should have been removed after the SOCO investigation. and nobody should have gone near it. the bus is a grim reminder of a major tragedy, not a tourist attraction.

the media especially in this country doesnt really care all they want is a story and they will get it no matter what the consequence. hahay just about anything in this country is hopeless. so sad.

1. Media is part of the crowd, you control the crowd (that's us), you control the media. So stop blaming the media. The only difference b/w crowd and media is that media use cameras/radio/tv/newspaper while crowd uses mouth/cellphones and facebook. Anyone can send information, but the media is faster. One way or another information will still reach China about this without media leverage.

2. ERAP with flag on his coffin? Why not? Di man masuko ang China, US, etc ana.

It would have been ok na gibutangan og flag ka Mendoza coffin in the PINOYS PERSPECTIVE, but we're talking about the world's eye is on the Philippines right now, expect every wrong move sa Pinas will only add salt to injury. I don't mind the flag placed there, the problem is China sees it an insult and maybe as well as other countries.

This is not just a case of national issue, but it has become an international controversy. The world has its eyes on us.

ANC, ABSCBN, GMA is no different from CNN, NBC, CTV, SBS, MBC, CBC, etc.

The problem is nobody in the country knows how to control the media/crowd (ie. PNP), it's the PNPs job to control the crowd, like I said media is part of the crowd. If the PNP has done a good job in controlling the crowd, then information wouldn't have leaked to Mendoza (through TV).
