Sony dslr a100 experts?

so okay, my bf has a sony a100 dslr which he bought from Germany and he doesnt use it so ako nalang. And--- i dont know how to use it at all. Click lang shutter thats all i know. So can you help me with these following questions i will ask?

1.) Para unsa ning murag switch sa babaw like kaning naay naka suwat na P A S M, Auto etc.
When should i use those switches? And how will it affect the pictures i take?

2.)Kaning usa ka switch sa left side naa nakasuwat na FOCUS, ISO, WB, D-R, DEC etc. And naay Fn Button sa tunga. When should i use those sad? And how will it affect the pics i take? I cant read the manual because its in german.

3.)I have lens na 3.5-5.6/18-70. Okay rana no? Like for starters.

4.) Cn i edit photos on this DSLR? Like sa cam, itself?

5.)How can i take nice and clear photos at night?

6.) Can you please tell me specifically what all these buttons are for? Like sa switch, para unsa ning mka nkasuwat and when to use?

I would want to help you, although I'm not an expert in photography, but it's hard to discuss the details about your inquiries just over the forum. Here are some things that might help:
*PASM etc. - these are the exposure modes of your camera. Set it to P lang sa.
*ISO - adjust the light sensitivity of your camera sensor. The larger the number the more sensitive your sensor will be but its more prone to digital noise. Adjusting this helps in low light condition.
*WB - white balance. You might want to use AWB as of now. (Auto White Balance)
*D-R - That is for the D range optimizer. You can set it to standard for the meantime.
*Your 18-70mm kit lens is fine. That lens served me well for quite some time while I didn't have the budget to buy another lens.
*In taking night shots, you can adjust the ISO and use a tripod to ensure that your camera will be steady throughout the exposure.
*You can post in the other forum for sony alpha users. Maybe the other alphans could give you some inputs also.

there is also a book on how to use the sony alpha a100 @ power books at sm. it is about 900+. the book is designed for users with little knowledge about dslr.

the sony kitlens 18-70 will be ok for party gathering shots but will not do your a100 good. the a100 can be so much more with a better lens. for casual shots, the kit becomes acceptable to me if i use an external flash.

para ma simple imo pag shoot ug dili dayon ma discourage set the camera to auto lang. if your try to use the other functions nya wa pa ka kasabot madiscourage nya ka. imo camera nindot nag kuha kinahanglan lang mo toon sa ka ug unsaon pag gamit ug sakto.

mas maayo na a kai kuyog mag shoot para makita dayon kung unsa ang sayop. lisod mag explain kung ang picture g shoot wala sa atubangan nato
