I don't really know her that well but based on how I've seen her speak English in a lot of shows, events and interviews (like the recent one she had with ABS-CBN), I must say that she wasn't as "good" as you say she is. Then again, my "good" is different from yours.

Agree ko nimo ani brad. Maayo lang sa pagarpar ang uban. Kamong mga tawhana mo nga ga buwa-buwa lang ang baba ug criticize kay dinha ra mo maayo. Maayo kaayo mo motan-aw sa sayop sa uban. In a beauty contest such as Ms. Universe, the hardest part is to prove yourself worthy of the crown or at least a spot in the top 5 for that matter that is why the most crucial stage is during the preliminary. This is when contestants are being put into the hot seat and judges get to choose the ones they think competitive enough for the title. In Venus' case, being chosen in the top 15 is already an achievement and to land in the top 5 is truly a pride considering 80+ representatives from different countries are aiming for that same crown. It certainly is no joke!


We all should be proud of what she had accomplished.
