Like I said, PNOY is the scapegoat of the Republic of the Philippines.

--and he's happy portraying that role.

For me that's being a good president.

That sounds more " UNFILIPINO " and interesteing .

The absence of CRAB MENTALITY !! Up for you !

Mao its hard for the FILIPINO PEOPLE to have its own identity because we tend to like better being NOT UNITED . We tend to come up lots of conspiracy theories , chismis , etc rather than coming up with a solution instead of being a problem .

It doesn't matter what he was actually doing. The fact that a head-of-state could not contact him gave the perception that he was in hiding. Politicians live life in the spotlight, it is a crucial element of their work. How a leader reacts under fire is most important, taking time out to have your response tailored by a bunch of advisers during such a critical international incident is like Nero playing the fiddle while Rome burned.

Swat made mistakes, serious mistakes. However what excuses can be offered for the dreadful mismanagement immediately following the tragedy? I don't blame Pnoy for the failures of SWAT. I do blame him for not intervening in the aftermath.

But then again they are the Police, our armed forces. They are supposed to be trained para di mahadlok inig rakrakan. Naa sila shield and vest. They should not "talaw" when under fire... at least mao na ako giexpect sa ila... I am a taxpayer and I'm the one paying for their training so I have the right to complain XD

As Filipinos, criticizing our Government/President is one thing... but calling the Philippines FAILippines or some shit is just plain wrong. How can we expect other countries to respect us if we don't even respect ourselves.

Instead of playing the blame game, I would like to suggest that we discuss the right things on how we can improve our nation. Yes, it was a tragic event but let's use that event as a trigger for a better change for our country.

^^ normal ra nang usahay di ta ma united; kay diha sa atong pagka dili united, we will come to a point that we will seek change... like last may 10, we moved for a change and we were united. now, sugod nasad watak-watak, so time will come mag usa ra napod ta for a change.
