Default Slipped Disc / Disc Herniation

At first I thought it's a simple back pain then it got worst. I can't wear my jeans/shorts the normal way. I have to sit para lang mag ilis. Sakit sad kaau kung mosakay ko ug jeep kay kailangan ko moduko labi na multicab. Sakit jud kaau akong likod padong sa upper left leg mosamot pa jud cya kung bugnaw or tungod ko sa aircon.

I consulted the doctor and I was referred to a Neurologist. The neurologist is suspecting that I might have a slipped disc. He suggested me to undergo MRI test and so I did. The result was I have a large disc herniation L5-S1. Now, I have to consult my neurologist again. I hope madala ra ni ug physical therapy kay mahal kaau kung operation.

Anybody here experienced a disc herniation? or naay kaila nga nag suffer sad ani? please share your experiences and tips para ma ease ang pain. Thanks.

Here are three secret ways to reverse a slipped disc!

    1. Stretch your spine!
A slipped disc is normally caused when your spine is bent and twisted. But when you stretch your spine out, you suck the disc back into its normal position. A simple and effective way to do this is to lie flat right on your back and then get someone to pull on your legs. You should do this for 5 minutes at a time and you should feel that your back is stretching. Don't do it into pain, only when you feel your back is feeling stretched.

    2. Ice pack
When you slip your disc, your disc will be inflamed. When your disc is inflamed, it gets swollen and hence it is hard to get back into its normal position because it is enlarged. Putting a cold and ice pack well help shrink the swelling, and hence allows the disc to ease back into its normal position.

    3. Gentle pressure downwards into the spine
Lie on your stomach and get someone to apply gentle pressure downwards into your spine. When you do this, do not do this in pain. This technique will help put the disc back into place. This is commonly used by many therapists like massage therapists and chiropractors which a disc is slipped.

Ni undergo ko ug Physical Therapy sa Perpetual Soccour for 10 sessions. First 2 sessions pa lang naa na jud cya improvement. Ni undergo sad ko ug Electromyography (EMG) to check if I have damaged nerves sa affected area and thank God everything was fine. Right now, dili nako mag lisod ug lakaw although sakit2x ghapon akong lower back pero madala ra ug smile. I have to visit my neurologist after the therapy but there was a problem with my insurance so wala pako kabalik but I know that I'm okay now.
