Media blamed for tragic end

A police official who requested anonymity blamed the media for the tragic end to the drama.

“If it were not for the live TV footage of his brother being arrested, we could have negotiated a solution to this, he said.

Police had asked the TV networks not to air sensitive portions of the negotiations and police actions because Mendoza was monitoring the media coverage.

As a resident living in HK, I feel disappointed(and more precisely, angry) about the operation done by the Philippians police. I think at least, they should have a better preparation about the assault. But NOT trying to break the windows and door a few times and stop and fall back. It seems that they don't have any idea about the windows/doors they are going to break/beach and they have no planning at all.

RIP for those victims and whatever god you believe in, please pray for them....
