Android or iPhone/IOS?

I won't get into any debates. That previous post was just my personal opinion. I was also very very skeptical about the iPhone, I decided against getting it because I thought it was more like a toy or a plaything. I went through the N900, the Hero, and more recently even tried Wave and Galaxy, not to mention that I also get to use my brother's SE X10 for tinkering purposes. I used to think 'anything but the iPhone'. Now, those phones are nice in their own right and actually offer more than the iPhone, especially if you tinker with them enough and install apps. But the longer I used those phones, like I said earlier, I realized that I really didn't need to use all those apps, and couldn't even if I tried. Maybe I overdid my tinkering and got sick of the phones faster than everyone else, but that's my personal honest experience. I gave in to curiosity and tried out the iPhone, and that's when I saw why all the 'Apple Fanboys' were so crazy about their preferred weapon of choice. While all those other phones I mentioned were also pretty smooth, the iPhone stood out because I found it really smoother and faster (I guess this is where we can see the wisdom behind Apple's 'no Flash'-ing). That's where the "basic, fundamental, Tim Duncan etc" part in the previous post comes in. That earlier post by L. Enario was right on the money for me, I was nodding along while reading his reply. TO ME, the iPhone is the embodiment of the lines 'Simplicity is beauty' and 'Less is more'. A bonus is if you're a Mac user (which I am), because you can sync your laptop and your phone and won't have to carry your laptop everywhere if you want to view pictures or documents or whatever. Another bonus is that iPhone prices don't depreciate to super-lows. And also, honestly, contrary to popular belief, you don't have to jailbreak to enjoy your iPhone. I didn't even jailbreak my iPhone and I'm still enjoying the phone even with just the free apps available. Call me a pedestrian user, I didn't buy a phone to take over the world or something. In short, in my search for the phone that gave me more, I realized that I really didn't need to get all those extra stuff.

The 'pungko2x and Gols' part was a joke. I happen to know m.garz/the TS, he's a high school classmate and we used to always play at Gols and I know he used to eat pungko2x a lot while in college. I'm not trying to cause an uproar here. Like I said, it's just my personal opinion. You're free to say otherwise. Just don't take any potshots at me, or say that I'm ignorant, or that I don't know anything about phones or OS or even that I'm a troll (whatever that means...I've been called that before in some thread hehe). (Consider that last sentence a preemptive attack.) Don't take it personal. Like they say in the movies, it's a free country. I guess our views might differ because we have different needs. I happen to like listening to music at random moments of the day, so don't make it seem like my comment sounds absolutely ridiculous. Who wouldn't want to have their own life soundtrack? If you like Android, then cool! You don't have to bash other people to make you feel better that you chose Android over iOS. Smile bosing! Di lang ta mag-lalis please! Hehe!

can't get a hint of your jokes without smileys. and no, i don't know also of your relationship with the TS. your post above sounds something an iFanboy would say, that's why i was asking "seriously?". A simple answer of "no it was a joke" or something would have suffice yet you preferred a definitive answer, that to me sounds defensive. I was not bashing, but maybe you read something in there that i didn't write? something like invisitext lol, coz as far as i'm concerned i only meant what i wrote and it's just even a single line of text. Call it defensive, jumping the gun, premature ejaculation, whatever hehe. Like I said, preemptive strike nalang, because even the TS himself is an Android user (a new one) and I'm just anticipating that he or some other Android user will unleash his fury on my 'blasphemous' post in reply to my personal views and this thread will become very long and dragging, and very tiring to read and follow. Can't blame me for thinking that way, because as can be seen in the results of this poll more people (in this thread at least) prefer Android. Despite my short stint here in iSTORYA I've already learned not to get into tiring, petty and pointless debates, you can't change anyone's personal opinion no matter how hard you try. I didn't take offense to anything you said bosing, don't worry hehe. It's just that when I speak my mind, I try to give it my best shot and cover all the angles. I also am not a big fan of using smileys, I use them as minimally as I can but don't worry, as I'm typing this, you wouldn't see a single frowning muscle on my face hehe. At least my long replies can also help readers who are wracking their brains choosing which phone to get. That's the ultimate purpose of these threads anyway. I hope my posts didn't come out as anything cocky! PEACE! Hehe!

At first this was really all an interesting topics, but this is now pointless. both are nice. and i've come to realize that when a friend comes forward and announces that he bought an iPhone, being equally amazed as i am with my N1 gets me faster in moving on with my life.

anyway, i like the promise of android, and i really believe that it is the future (as in 6 months to 1 year away future) of smartphones, but im giving a slight edge to iOS for its current level of polish. by the way, iOS has pseudo multitasking, and it works.

Im actually pretty new to both operating systems, I have a 3GS here and a Andriod powered phone.. Im wondering what iphone can do that the andriod.

okei ra man ang duha. used the iOS 2 days after the first iPhone was release in the US. kay mao man na linya sa amu work, mobile mobile mobile.... ug na love at first touch ko sa iOS. kinsa man di maganahan anang mutuyok imu screen kung imu ituyok imu unit/fone. ü

pero since it is work related & interesado ko aning OS stuff, i always follow news/development about the OS. mao na daghan na mga sikat nga developer nag-condemn sa iOS tungod closed wall nila, pero it's a different story now, jailbroken is legal.

iOS = cool as in cool...

and here comes the android... kung tech ka or hilig ka mag experiment sa imu gadget, i would suggest android ka diretso. we have all the control sa imu unit, comes with the risk pero lingaw mag mods. mura ra mag upgrade upgrade pc bah... then naa pa OTA... which is sad to say, ang froyo wala pa gihapon ni abot sa cebu airwaves. (

android = para sa ganahan mu experiment ug ganahan mu risgo....

seriously, it does not allow direct download of files from the browser... how good is that?
