Default Another question on a core i3 setup

hello guys i have another question.
i was planning to buy a graphics card a gts250
i was opting to buy a more cheaper card but realized for a small price difference a gts250 would be a good choice.

my question is can my generic 500 watt psu that is included on my trendsonic brand case. able to run the pc when this card is installed?
if not what psu brand can you suggest?
and can i get a good quality psu for 1.5k?

thanks in advance for your advice

    nothing @ that budget 1.5K

SS ST50F-ES is the best option @ P2,650 - active PFC and 80plus certified....
if gusto ka makasave FSP500-60APN @ 1995 - active pfc and labeled 80plus

it was a bad idea to go cheap on PSU and make it the least priority in building mid/high end setups...

i would suggest you buy a branded psu, i would never recommend generic psu when having a nice video card. buy a silverstone as werty told you...

thanks it already come to my mind that i really have to buy a branded psu if i upgrade my setup in the future but thinking of spending more than 2.5k for it still haunts me.

when i bought my setup the psu was the least of my concern or to be honest didnt even came to my head and since im new to this. it was one of those things that i got a budget was checking stuff online and decided that the setup was a good deal and bought everything on a pc store and felt good about it when i got home. and since the case came with a psu i thought it was a good deal and it looks nice! "noob" lol

my pc skills are below intermediate
i can assemble a pc if i concentrate hard enough hehehe.
understand a little about specs just enough to get you out of trouble or scammed in the shops.
learning to do a little overclocking but prefer not to.
i do play games occasionally but never a diehard gamer.

now i guess the main question is already answered.
it can run but it's not advisable. im just curious what could happen? will it burst into flames? or something similar?

if you want to experience like what my 2 friends had after using an unreliable psu, u may try it hehehe. my friend had to change his high end videocard, high end abit mobo and a thermaltake psu (come to think its even a branded but not the tough models) because it failed at the same time. once the psu fails, it could jeopardize the whole pc because every thing is dependent on it.

well some have used generic psu but not for highend videocards, some tried to used highend, was able to read an article long time ago, because of generic psu the motherboard, ram, harddisk got broken... its still a investment to have a branded psu equaled with highend vc. but if your video card isn't power demanding den try to used a generic, but if get broken then charge to experience...hehehe...
