one of the places i plan to retire to.. cost of living is low.. walking distance ra sa beach.. (santa monica in banilad) finally naa nay robi.. pwera gaba sa lee oiez.. and dali ra travel to cebu.. i can't say tho na d place to be xa.. kay di jud xa kaapas sa cebu... not even cdo... but for retirement.. ok xa.. ibalhin ang silliman then dgte is a ghost town..

Exactly, Dumaguete can be a ghost town without Silliman, but Negros oriental University, Foundation University and St. Paul College is also in Dumaguete. The thing is, even if this is considered a university City,the people living the City prefer to leave it as was before, laid back, simple living, keep everything accessible as possible, it's a small City, so it's impossible for it to be compared to Cebu. People in Dumaguete go to Cebu almost everyday because of CERES liner and fast craft transportation services. Seems like Dumagueteños are contented about everything they have in the City and are happy that Cebu is very accessible as well as Bohol and Dapitan for shopping and relaxation...

i've been to Dumaguete, one thing ako na notice kay mga tawo relaxed ra kaau, and maglaag laag lang mag pangbalay, simple lang.. ako pud na notice na hilig silag acoustic nights, sa may HAYAHAY resto na located in front of the Beach, daghan mga pips tig standby diri until sunrise... ganhan gani ko mubalik puhon..

yeahh.. nice jud ang dumag ui.. simple living, nice au ang mga tawo, accessible au ang tanan, duol au ang dept store, hospital, hotels, beaches,, duol ang pier..basta.. i like to stay there though naa amos a Bais.ehhee

R u sure that SILLIMAN MEDICAL CENTER is similar to St. Lukes Medical Center? so mas modern pa diay ang silliman kaysa CHONG HUA HOSPITAL ug CEBU DOCTORS HOSPITAL?
