Start getting those guilty priests (child molesters and abusers) arrested!

As for lingam massage, let the talks on regulation continue. A ban, as a certain PB board member said, can be discriminatory and even violating towards human rights.

The authorities should not limit themselves to what they see here in the Philippines. They should go abroad and observe for themselves how lingam massage works and why it is accepted there. Oh yeah, religious fanatics and die hard moralists are still pathetic.

Magpale is at it again. She declared that lingam is a “moral perversion and is an anathema to our good customs and time-honored traditions and an affront to the cultural sensibilities of the Cebuanos.”

It is quite obvious she and her allies did not do much research on lingam massage. Worse, stone age values and "moral" views were prioritized over reason in her latest action.

Along the way, the anti-lingam forces FAILED to prove that women working in lingam massage parlors were abused or compromised. I know that ALM and Chuva-Chuva are truly protective of their masseuses.

On other issues, the anti-lingam sect FAILED to curb prostitution all over the province - because of the tight watch on lingam massage, the cheap and sleazy massage parlors selling sexual intercourse, BJs, anal *** and other risky stuff are gaining ground and attracting more customers. *** in massage parlors also contribute to HIV/AIDS cases, while lingam massage does not. They also did nothing to fight prostitution on the streets.

And if lingam massage and yoni massage are to be banned, will they also arrest the wives who provide lingam massage to their husbands, as well as the men who provide yoni massage to their wives? Wow. That could be quite extreme, kinda reminds me of how Hitler and the Nazis rose to power over their fellow people.

On other news, a report in today's Sun.Star Cebu (not online) shows that Cebu City Hall's council will discuss the possibility of REGULATING lingam massage.

At least there are still sensible minds at work on this island.

THE ordinances proposed by two Provincial Board (PB) members on the controversial lingam massage service cannot be consolidated, because they call for different provisions.

This, again, required a lengthy discussion at the regular session of the PB yesterday.

PB Member Agnes Magpale wants a total ban on lingam massage, while PB Member Arleigh Sitoy wants it regulated.

Magpale’s draft ordinance will be scheduled for public hearing.

Sitoy’s proposal, which seeks to require prescriptions before clients can avail of lingam massage, was referred to four committees. These committees are on health, tourism, human rights and, as lead committee, laws and ordinances.

Magpale’s ordinance was referred to the committees on laws and ordinances, human rights and health.

Some spa operators have said lingam has a therapeutic effect on men, especially those with prostate problems.

PB Member Ribomapil Holganza Jr., chairman of the committee on human rights, wants to determine if there are rights that will be violated by a ban.
