    Gialerto na sa kadagkoan sa Department of Health (DOH) ang publiko sa posibleng pag-abot sa gikahadlokang bacteria na New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase (NDM-1) o superbug gene. Gitawag kini na Superbug gene kay once makasulod kini sa lawas pakusgon kini ang resistensya sa mga bacteria ug mahimog walay laban ang mga antibiotics niini. Wala pa sad nagama ang antibiotics para niini.

    Wala pa noon naabot ang maong bacteria sa Pilipinas pero dali ra kaayo kini makasulod pinaagi sa paglamano,samad ug sa mga entry point sa lawas pareha sa ilong, baba ug mga samad.
    Naabot na sa 140 ang kaso na-irecord sa India, Bangladesh at Pakistan. Naa say infected patients sa Australia, U.S., Holland at Sweden.

    "There are no new antibiotics available to treat these infections. There are no new future antibiotics available at the moment and this particular bacteria doesn't give us any alternatives to work with. The best, most powerful antibiotic we have, this thing can destroy," matod pa sa author na si Mark Toleman.

    Saw this news in GMA 24 oras last night. Kuyaw jud ni if maka-abot diri atua and I believe our Gov't is not prepared for this nya wla pa jud cure.

    yup.. NDM-1 type strain... gikan sa pakistan, india, bangladesh... naa na gani reported case diri sa canada, the patient was from india.. the strain is so new that doctors dont know how the infection spreads... scary especially that im working in a hospital.. time to wear hazmats at work....

    then the government must have devised a new plan to stop this bacteria from "īnvading" our country....plus, dapat tanang tao aware ani para careful sila sa ilang mga health niya...

    mode of transmission still unknown... studies have shown that this is bacteria is hospital acquired ( just like MRSA, C. dif.,)
