Macbook or VAIO? Help me decide!! =)

hi istoryans!!

I will be upgrading my laptop soon.. im planning to buy either vaio or macbook.. yung sa macbook i plan yung cheapest nila na 13.3" na white.. as for vaio, i plan kato S Series nila.. here are the specs for each

depends on your preference. if you are constantly on the go, get the mac. I'm reeeeaaallly not a fan of all things mac because of their closed hardware business model, but my dad and sis has one and i have to say that the aluminum unibody of those macbook pros are really awesome. super light and super sturdy. Perfect for some1 on the go. They do cost an arm and a leg tho...

if on the go jud ka bro, get the mac. its really super light. some will say na ok ra ang 5lbs sa mga regular laptops but trust me, if you constantly have to move around that 5lbs starts to hurt..... and this is from some1 that doesn't like macs in general lol.

Edit: Oh sh*t, i just noticed ur a gurl sorry for referring to u as 'bro' lol. I didnt actually think there were any girls in this part of the forums lawlz

hahahah! okay lang.. i understand..that's why i created this thread here coz I know you guys are more literate than I am when it comes to computer/laptop specs, etc.. my brother is a computer buff but he hates MAC jud.. that's why even if i respect his opinions on techie matters, i didn't bother listening to him when it came down between vaio and mac coz i know he will pic vaio in a heartbeat kay same lang daw sa linux ang OS sa mac.

As for the weight, i noticed nga that macbook is lighter than the normal laptop weight.. also the new design is very pretty.. =)

As for the software, dli ba lisod kay gamay ra ang compatible with mac os?

Mac utilize different software than PC. They are a different programming design. I can't really say similar ang MAC ug Linux since linux is open source while Macs are proprietary. Regarding the software, what's really important to know about mac software is that the 'cracked' or 'pirated' versions of their software is harder to come by. that is a major factor for most ppl sa pinas since most use, um, less legit versions lolz. But if you buy legit software, this shouldnt be a problem....

Regarding the mac hate, i can understand why that is. mac users tend to have an elitist perspective and think (and bash) pc users while pc users don't really care... one major reason i don't like macs is that they are super expensive for the components they hold. A similar specd pc would cost much less... Perhaps the biggest reason is because of their closed hardware business model i spoke of earlier--> meaning you can't really assemble or change hardware in mac desktops... Hence i don't really believe there are true mac enthusiasts because all they really do is buy... when you actually change/mod/upgrade your hardware to suit your specific needs, only then can u call yourself an enthusiast imo.
