Some people naman ang particular sa grammaer. I just let people be and give people credit for practising and trying. If you don't use it, you'll never improve, you'll never gonna get better at it.

Australians, the Britts, the Americans (they're messed up too) - different strokes, different rules

People have made rules to make this language universal - so that everyone can communicate as painlessly as possible. I don't see any reason to be so panicky about them rules.

Good thing, Visaya doesn't have crazy rules. Kada lang, it doesn't equate to jobs. Whether people like it or not, the world is getting smaller, and English has been a powerful tool, especially in the Philippines (correct me if I am wrong), -paperwork, jobs, politics, international relations, etc etc etc. I don't know if this is good or not for us Filipinos.

Whatever language used is fine with me. I just don't understand why the language- English would have anything to do with a person's status. I don't get it. I have read from other posts that some people treat people differently just because of that.... reason- why some people try very hard even when it isn't anymore the right time, the right place, the right listeners.

Me, I am very fluent in Visaya but I am afraid of spelling the words -they're very complicated and it'll take me so much time. So I write in English, everything is shorter. Ex. "I like you." in Visaya, "Ganhanan ko nimo."

English speaking people are fine. Ma wrong grammar man o dili. At least ba, they are trying their best nga makaSulti og english. Sa trabaho raba, kargado english gud ang language gamit. labi na makigStorya ka og client or boss, etc. Pero ibutang lang pud sa lugar. Basin nya og englishan na og apil ang mga konduktor and etc. murag lain napud na paminawon.

Yes it's a means of communicating, but not necessarily to bolster up the ego of the one who knows....

Siguro kung naay sense to speak english.. For example, formality purposes, or ang iya ka storya kai di kasabot ug filipino language, or mas ma explain niya ug tarong sa english ang iya gi storya. Pero kung pinugos kaau pagka english nya pinoy ray ka tabi niya, nya nagkalisud lisud na xa ug english padayon gihapon, nindot kau na xa ingnan : "PAG PRACTICE SA OIE, KANA WALAY MAKADUNGOG NIMO."
    Hahaha
