The Heat not only will be great, but historically great. So predicts the co-lead NBA analyst for ABC/ESPN.

"They will break the single-season win record [of 72],'' Jeff Van Gundy said. "And I think they have a legit shot at the Lakers' 33-game [winning] streak [in 1971-72], as well. And only the Lakers have even a remote shot at beating them in a playoff series. They will never lose two games in a row this year.

"They have put together a much better roster than anybody could ever have expected,'' Van Gundy added. "There is now no good way to defend them. They are unguardable. They are indefensible. They are just too good and have added so much shooting and are so versatile that they will score at will.

"And with Erik Spoelstra coaching, they will be in the top three defensive teams in the league, as well. The other 29 teams better hope the lockout gets moved up a year.''

Michael Jordan's Bulls set the regular-season victory mark at 72-10 in 1995-96.

"I'm not trying to be Mercury Morris and root against anybody, but I don't think it will happen again,'' said TNT's Steve Kerr, who played on that Chicago team. ``There are too many variables, too many meaningless games, too many bad shooting nights, too much playoff preparation.

"If anybody has a shot to do it, Miami does. If everything comes together perfectly, maybe they get to 70.''

Hmmm... This is for people who didn't believed what I said before. Hahaha... The reality will slap you in the face once they get 73+ wins. This comments was from a VETERAN NBA coach himself who knows the GAME. With Riley watching the troika amEGOS and Spoelstra as his puppet, don't tell me it's still "UNPREDICTABLE"?!?!? OK, who pulled a win vs Bulls in 1996 with 8 players?!?!?!?!?!?

All caused by TEAM STACKING!!! It would've been better if the whole agenda was done legally.

The Wade-Bosh-LeBon Jing charade must be exposed for what it was -- these guys agreed amongst themselves to play together at the start of last season, and of that there can be no doubt now.

Anybody who thinks these guys considered other teams when they were in contact with other teams is naive at best and stupid at worst.

Just think back to the charade Bosh and LeBon Jing put other teams through by giving lists of teams they would consider, when all along they had agreed to join Wade in Miami. Hmmm...

Wade, Bosh and LeBon Jing must be verbally attack by fans in every visiting city, because it’s only the fans who can defeat these fixers. They and their sponsors must be rejected with extreme prejudice.

I HATE: WADE-BOSH-LEBON JING!!! Carry the message!!!

^AFAIK no one here doubted that Miami WILL OR WILL NOT break the Bulls regular season record. As I keep on saying, possibilities are endless.

What most of us here are against you is you being a CRYBABY over the whole thing!

Let them play an entire season first and let them prove themselves as a team! Wa man gani dghan kyaw2x ang defending champ Lakers, ikaw naba hinuon.

Now if you're still sticking with your story nga ILLEGAL ang pag-land ni LeBron sa Heat, PROVE IT. Dili kay puro storybot.

    @Click Here

You might be an excellent English speaker, but I will bet my Aug. 16th paycheck that you speak the language in a FOB manner.

And oh, you might speak better English than me, at least I don't live with my parents.
