guys! try sad ninyo ang apache2triad very nice ... mao na ni akong gi gamit karon for the pass 9 months lolz ako na ilisan ang XAMMP

    MelodyMan:
kng ako lang jud ang pa sultion if testing and development lang kini ang gamiton pero kng production na jud adto nalang jud na sa LAMP ... althought theoritically speaking pareho ra na adto man gud na daogon sa OS. kay as far as web & db process is concern pareho lang man. and by the way 54% of the apache2triad users use it for both development and production.

eWEEK Labs tests WAMP vs. LAMP stacks
"The results of our WAMP stack tests indicate that these folks might be on to something. Our WAMP stack setups included Windows Server 2003, Apache, MySQL and the PHP-based XOOPS; Plone running on Windows Server 2003 R2; and JBoss and MySQL on Windows Server 2003.

The results we saw with the WAMP stacks were probably the biggest surprise in our entire test. Enterprise IT managers shouldn't hesitate to look into the option of deploying open-source stacks on a Windows Server platform."

    very informative guys! thank you.

By the way, I have existing library software with a web-based feature(search online) running on IIS. I do know that it's possible to combine Apache and IIS simply by changing port numbers. I have tested it myself. My question is - would you guys recommend running altogether/simultaneously? I need to develop this web-based application and wanted to use PHP(for the first time. ASP.NET man gud ko ). I'm actually interested with these CMS tools nga mo run sa WAMP and LAMP. I know there are few written in .NET but not quite sure about those .NET versions.

    TIA!
