Default The thrill of backpacking..any experience horrible of otherwise share here....

Some likes to travel na pinahimutang, with tour guide gyud or avail gyud package from agency..but for me backpacking is the best if you want to experience real flair and flavor of the place you are visiting, though this is not for everybody coz some thinks mas safe gyud ang guided/arrange tour esp if your travelling with family and children but for the single souls nothing beats the adventure you get from going off the beaten path...aside sa maka save ka lots of money...lingaw kay dili man by the book imu ma experience...most fun is you have a fellow backpacker with you...again this is not for everybody kadto naa kicks for unexpected and new heights enjoy this way of travelling...

Just put your head above you all the time and Be safe!

    Happy Backpacking!

Etienne- Goodluck..you'll have a blast..i did it alone when i was 25 (im 30now) alone in UK , in 3months i worked and backpacked myway around to be able to afford the life there..it was a great experience  it was easy to land a job coz they prefer seasonal jobs due no need to pay govt tax etc..also UK and Europe is backpacker friendly coz didto man na ni originate na way of travelling... Locally, we did it in Cebu when we toured around for 2weeks on a backpacked...enjoy gyud kaayu...

Hopfully we can do it this year from Visayas to Mindanao on a long month trip...need to organize this one though...depende sa budget hehehe!

para nako, mas challenging gyud ang byahe kung ikaw ra usa. unya, mas lingaw pa jud. kanang naay tour guide, sakto gasto jud. ako, dili man jud ka masaag basta mangutana lang ka gud.

Ako mas prefer nako ang pahimutang na travel, not necessarily package trips, I can book naman a hotel online and such. But I like to explore on my own too.

Actually, I'm in the mood na sad to travel, even though bag-o lang ko nahuman ug travel a few weeks ago sa Greece. Type nako mag roadtrip sa France sa Alsace region, or sa Germany duol sa river Rhein. Ganahan ko aning mga little villages trip and checking the old buildings and castles. Haay kati na sab akong tiil, and will probably do this alone dili kuyog ako bf kay gikapuyan na sya sa Europe kay European man sya, lol. Overdosed na sya, ingon nya kita na sya tanan corner sa mainland Europe. Mao ning mag inusara na lang ko. Okay ra sab baya ko ani, have done this already pero nindot sab ang naay kuyog para naay ka istorya.

Next year invite nako sis nako na moari para kami maglakwatsa. Kuha sa sya ug visa.

    Hello Dutched,

I supposed you carry a schengen visa to be able to tour Europe, is so you may aswell try travelling on Trans- siberian railway or the Trans-mongolian from Beijing to Moscow, a great way for backpackers to enjoy the tour plus its sooo cheap. 3 of my friends tried this lastyear when from Beijing they took train to Moscow, spent a day in Ulan Bator, splurge in Lake Baikal which is the largest fresh water lake in the world, then spend 4-5days on the train down to moscow, they then move to Vladivostok in estonia then took a flight to France. all in all it took them 9days for the whole Trans-siberian trip. Mongolia and Chinese visa are not difficult to obtain in Manila while you woudnt need a Russian visa if your not stopping over russia, just a pass that you can get on the immigration.

By the way, this is one trip i want to do before i switch into another year old but since i do working holiday i need to seriously save up for this and source out possible employment along the way.

@enlighten, im not sure pila gyud ila gasto will check em for you nya ha then post nako here. chinese visa mam dali ra kaayu makuha oi standard 3days na pud overnite, sa cebu easy ra kaayu na kuhaon. mongolian visa there is none in cebu but in manila more or less same requirement. ang russia are also opening up to tourist so if you need one you need to contact russian hotel or travel agency sa russia then cla mismo mu facilitate sa visa application for a fee whilst you can get the visa at the russia consul sa manila but if your not stopping over sa russia no need to get a visa as the immigration gives you a pass upon entrance via trans siberian railway. Prepare all your requirements handy and do your research you can plan out your trip in no time
