ATI’s next generation Southern Islands cores are not promising anything spectacular. It looks like these cores are going to be just a tweak of ATI's existing Radeon HD 5000 series architecture.

Probably not enough to beat Fermi.
But let's wait on how flexible ATI's RV870 arch is and how much performance they can tweak out of it.
nVidia has already proven the flexibility of Fermi with GF104. This might be their chance to get back on.

^^ most likely efficiency tweak jud ni lagi. lower tdps, heat, and noise. probably a few enhancements sa performance.

^^ lol. exactly. If it makes the 5000 series cheaper, then bring it on!

WOW.... wala pa gali ka release ang nvidia sa tanan nila line-up... just.... WOW.
Giatay, bago pa gali ko ka palit sa 5000 series nila...

From the article, ATI said they're not releasing a whole line-up though. probably just a die shrink to 28nm on some cards (most likely their high end ones) and better efficiency. It would blow my mind if they did a 6970 with a 3 gpus inside

    What do you guys think?
Nasad?! sigilang?! Haaaay.. samot nah gyud ka layo sa rank sa unsay naa nato karon haha.. I hope ang games dili mo palabi ug gukod to have the requirements of the new gen nah cards.

@foshow as from what I can tell for nao br0 dako na kaayo labaw ang hardware vs sa software... no worries. people who buy the latest shit all the time are prolly trying to compensate for something I guess, because those people buy regardless. (they prolly think it adds inches to their eCock) lol, like wise they're just trying to profit from people who have these "deficiencies", iz why they be realising new shit all the time I guess. I think youre in the clear bro. ^_^

It doesn't make sense to me if they launch the low end ones first though. die shrinks are most beneficial to high end cards since they would become less power hungry and become smaller... Also, the article states to debut some "novelties" which means i think means expensive/collector (either or both) editions.
Nakita ra gyud nako ang source ( did forgot the site, but I know I read it from somewhere ), don't know if this is reliable,....hehe

Mas mauna ang HD5670 pababa nga category sa HD6xxx series.
