If you see the big picture, the bridge would cut travel time from the airport to the Cebu City. Cargoes and people from the airport can reach Cebu and southern part towns in minutes, skipping Jonas Cortes' Mandaue City. Other than saving travel time, consumption and cost of fuel will be reduced.

before we can even consider the project, we still need to hear if its possible, in a geological sense. one cannot just dig a tunnel anywhere and expect it to last if the geological layout underneath the seabed is not apt for such projects.

without that, the project is nothing but a pipe dream.
