The lack of passing pecentage of Elwin Durano is the reason why he was disqualified..In the case of the USC players, they passed their subjects but they withdrew a subject which created the problem of having only 12 units instead of the minimum of 15 units per semester.

And USP didn't make any appeal for recon on the disqualification of Durano.

^^But why was he allowed to play? If its percentage of passed subjects, thats even worse than the academic load issue. So that means if USPF used an inleigible player, they would forfeit the game last night.
As to the academic loading requirement, the rule is stated ambiguously:
It only says a student has to be enrolled in 15 units(as amended last year) of the CURRENT school year, that means the semester of contention here is school year 2010-2011, it being the CURRENT school year. The second semester of school year 2009-2010 should have no bearing because it is NOT THE CURRENT school year.
In fact, rule 1.6 states that even if one did not enroll for the 2nd sem for SY 2009-2010, he will still be eligible to play as long as he passed 60% of the subjects of the past 2 semesters where he was enrolled.
