    @epgarias

    ep sifu! hehe

Just looked at the weekly market watch on PSE website.
I've notice that Holding Firms have the highest return YTD.

Does it mean we will concentrate on these companies when choosing the right stocks?
If so, how can we buy them if their prices are already high?

Sayang lng if taga cebu ako. matagal na ako sumali nito cgro dito sa davao meron din into stock market pero wala akong kilala eh. mostly sa forums ko lng nakikita yung mga tao.. at d naman cla taga davao. nasa cebu and at luzon area. sana marami akong matutunan nito.. try ko rin check ang citisec na recommended mo.. ok na yung 5k na investment. kc sa BPI 10k minimum nla na invest to buy shares.. and then sa PSE nasa 25k minimum to buy shares.. atlest 5k d masyado mabigat.. so ask nlng din ako boss. everymonth ba invest ka ng 5k? para to buy shares or etc.since it is for long term investment eh.dba? sana mag ganito din d2 sa amin sa mindanao para lahat marunong sa mga financial education
yup for a start ok na yun 5K. The only drawback is limited lang ang mabibili mo. By the way, by board lots ang bilihan ng stocks sa stock market.. If the stocks is too expensive hindi mo siya mabibili. Then if your going for the EIP mas maganda if consistent na monthly ka mag add ng stocks para ma maximize mo ang power ng peso cost averaging (money compounding). I suggest if wla ka pa gaano knowledge sa market bilhin mo yun recommendation ng citiseconline sa EIP nila. Ito kasi ang mga company na tingin nila malaki ang potential to go up in the near term. Maganda rin yung recommendation ng ATR Kim Eng (broker ni vondave).

Speaking about financial education, maganda ko recommendation is to join the truly rich club ni bro bo sanchez. I am a member of this club and I guarantee marami ka matutunan about financial literacy dito. Aside from that your subscription can help in funding his ministry for the poor. Parang donation or tulong mo na rin ito sa kanila. Besides the monthly subscription of P497 is very cheap as an investment for growing our financial literacy. May mga stock recommendation din siya dito yun lang pang long term ang sa kanya.. Kung sa bangko pa ito parang time deposit with much bigger interest..

Yes, you got it right bro.. hehe..

In fact holdings sector is the current top performing sector in our market. This is followed by Industrial, Property, and Financial Sectors at almost equal footing.

My Weekly Watchlist sa blog ko na mga stocks all belong to those sectors.. Nilalaro ko lang mga ito ng paulit2x.. hehe..

Some people are asking how risky is the stock market. My answer is there will always be risk no matter what kind of investment you ventured. The real secret in the stock market is to learn how to survive. Always try to minimize the risk by having a very solid money management. This includes proper position sizing and diversification. Include na rin natin dito ang entry and exit points natin when buying and selling a stock. Putting more importance sa exit natin coz now no matter how bad your entry price but you have a very good exit price then ganansya gihapon ka. Having a very good entry price and a bad exit will make you lose money. Remember always to protect your profits no matter how small it is. Let the magic of compounding do the trick for you. Lastly the biggest losers are those who do nothing with their extra money. Always scared to invest thinking negative most of the time. If there is a will, there will always be a way to profit in the market.

Sakto ka bro. I will post a Bible Verse, a teaching came from Christ about investing and doubling your talents/money.

    Matthew 25:14-30
“For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his own slaves and entrusted his possessions to them. To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; and he went on his journey. Immediately the one who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and gained five more talents. In the same manner the one who had received the two talents gained two more. But he who received the one talent went away, and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. Now after a long time the master of those slaves came and settled accounts with them. The one who had received the five talents came up and brought five more talents, saying, ‘Master, you entrusted five talents to me. See, I have gained five more talents.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’ Also the one who had received the two talents came up and said, ‘Master, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more talents.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’ And the one also who had received the one talent came up and said, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you scattered no seed. And I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’ But his master answered and said to him, ‘You wicked, lazy slave, you knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather where I scattered no seed. ‘Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest. Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’ For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. "

Look what happened to the man who is afraid of investing his talents/money, it is much riskier just hiding your talent/money and letting it sleep. It is much riskier if we don't do something.

Main lesson those who risk to invest their talents, skills and money will be given more (Compounding interest). But the one who didn't risk because of fear, even what he does have were taken away.

Amazing! Everything is indeed in the bible. God wants us not only to invest our money but to also invest on our talents and skills. That means the more we study and enhance our skill the more we become successful with it. Actually just wanted to share one of my secrets of becoming a successful trader. And that is determination back up with prayer (faith). I am determine to be successful in the stock market and I also ask the gift of becoming a good trader. Indeed I can testify to this day that God truly was there to back me up and teach me how to trade the market. No one really thought me and I don't even have a mentor. Sariling sikap lang.. Everything just simply fall into pieces during my journey as a trader. Hope you guys can all be successful also in the market. Remember always that our GOD is a very loving GOD and HE wanted to give the best for all of us. The only question is: "Are we ready to truly trust HIM and accept HIS wonderful gifts in our life?".. Remove the fear in your hearts and well as the greed.. This two things are what brings a man down and is applicable also in the stock market.. Share to others not only your money(profits) but also what you have learn and GOD will reward you more..

Naa sd ko lain question sa katong gamit ug citiseconline as broker, unsaon ninyu pag implement if naa mo'y stop-loss? Like for example wala ka inig open sa market and automatically lng ba, mu butang na imug order, either buy or sell.

If imung i-GTC order, di sd ka k.butang ug amount nga layo sa ilang dynamic threshold. So, lisud if mag stop loss kag 7-8% kai d m.sugot ang system tungod sa dynamic threshold.

So far karun di man ko ka off-hours order gud. Ambot nganu ni, off-hours man unta.
