how do I recover data from a laptop HD using usb thru A PC?

bai tabangi ko ninyo. ang akong HD sa laptop di ma detect. mo blue screen lang inig boot. ang msg is "Stop 0x7B". pero sa bios makitan ang HD. unsa kahay solution nako ani nga para ma recover nako ang files og ma fix nako ang HD sa laptop? pwede kaha mo gamit ko og Desktop ug USB cable para retrive nako ang akong files sa laptop?

the easiest would be to remove your laptop HD then transfer/install it to an external USB mobile HD case/enclosure (if you don't have one, buy one. costs less than 400 pesos these days). Connect the USB mobile HD to your desktop and get your files. You can even do a chkdsk or check the HD for viruses. That might fix your laptop HD problem.

bai... here are the possibilities why you have that error.

1. Your computer is infected with a boot-sector virus.
2. Corrupted device driver.
3. Hardware related

Try lang the following procedures:

1. Use the Last Known Good Configuration
-Start your computer.
-When you see the "Please select the operating system to start" message, press the F8 key.
-When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, use the ARROW keys to select Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked), and then press ENTER.

2. If you have your WinXP setup CD, use it to repair your OS.
-Insert the Windows XP CD into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer.
-When the "Press any key to boot from CD" message appears on the screen, press a key to start your computer from the Windows XP CD.
-To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R.

3. As mentioned above, use a USB mobile HD case/enclosure. Chkdsk the laptop HD using your desktop computer. Check for viruses.

naa nata software ana boss para maka recover sa data sa hdd!! pwede na ma recover any form of data basta wala lang ma damage imong hdd!!! try to used enclosure boss sakto na gi advice ni cebutech para maka recover sa data! pwede sad nako i share ang software!!! kong gusto ka!! hinatag sad ni sa atong member sa istorya!!

the best way is remove your hdd first and make a backup on it.... kung dili ka suweto kaayo ayaw nalang kay masayang lang.... ask sa mga expert or bring it to the expert... i can help it and fix but busy lang ko... try bring your unit Boss @Ruelnuv para safe ka....

bitaw, if u need ur files badly and u don't have experience yet in data recovery, delikado ma-compromise pa nuon ang data...if not, matigok pa nuon ang imong HDD, samot ka dimalas.

ty ninyong tanan bai. gi kuha/hulbot nako ang HD sa laptop wc was my last option kay under warranty pa ang laptop. maayo lang kay way seal. na retrive gyud nako ang files using a pc og shielded USB cable. thanks... dayon gi gamitan nako og restoration CD nga apil n sa package pag palit kay bisag sa dos mode di ma fix ang problem. wag tanang softwares, gi restore niya sa settings sa tym sa pag palit. murag dunay toy driver nga na daot moa nang wa mo boot. tnx sa tanang suwat tampo
