bitaw, i remembered thats why i edited it.
but it thought that model was cancelled na coz 2008 pa bya na gi announce and announced release date of 2009 pero 2010 wala pa gyapon.even iyang lenses designed for it not yet out. this is a 4 year old camera barely seeing the light of day with a hefty price tag of over a million pesos. thats not so great is it?

in any case, leica is never known for its DSLR...and for good reason. S2 is suppose to be their game changer but it was delayed time and time over...and that can't be good. financially and technologically.

the biggest problem leica faces in this digital times is that they dont make with own stuff. they rely on others for their technologies and stuff unlike canon and sony. i think this s2 uses kodak sensor and fujitsu for some of the electronics.

sure the lenses would be spectacular when it comes out. sure the sensor is fantastic in studio applications. but a slower than typical DSLR AF system, single focus point, low max ISO, screen thats half a decade old in design and oled status display that vanishes in sunlight cant be all that impressive. maybe next model they are able to roll it out faster it would be more impressive. its not to say i didnt salivate when i read about the s2 couple years ago. its just too old, spending that much money you wish it was of newer technology diba? faster/better AF. better screens and displays. better and higher ISO capabilities optical stabilizer. even live view and video hahaha!joke!

pero buying it.if it was 2 years ago. i would consider selling my car to buy it sure.
today, no way. i wouldnt dream of it. id rather dream of the next one...S3 perhaps hehe
