Personal opinion lang nako ni mga bai ..
We're in a democratic government and I believe the qualifications we have for our government officials are just fair for 'everybody' ..Part from that democracy we citizens have the freedom to vote for anybody we see fit for the position ..If nay dapat e change or e improve kana cgro implementation sa ato laws mga bai e.g "Political Dynasty" ..
But with regards to the other thread here in istorya.net about 'Qualifications for a President compared to the Ombudsman' bitaw, murag somethings wrong gyud mga bai hehe ..
exactly my point bai, it exist even if it should not kay bawal na sa law natoOriginally Posted by ********r
no need to further add qualifications because at the end, these guys are surrounded by lawyers and intelligent advisers..
if not, need to add qualifications for the said advisers? :P
Legally you can't do it without charter change.
Least should be college grad for all running officials.
Maynta senators are elected by regions. Way lain choice ang senator but to work hard for his/her region aron duna siyay chance to get reelected. Ang mahitabo ang senator mag cge uli sa iyahang region aron mag appease sa iyahang political base and kita na layo sa manila duna na jud tay tingog. Sa current system man gud ang senator has to do something for Manila aron lang muhumot.
Or maayo pud if ang president elected via electoral college like sa US. At least empowered ang LGUs and regions far from Manila and di jud hinanglan na panguyaban lang permi ang mga voters na taga didto.
And something should be done about the Lower House's dependence on the Executive. Mao daghan kaayo balimbing.
I am in favor of anything that increases the value of the probinsyano's vote.
from another thread on this board.a President is not just an administrator, but a visionary, as well as a figurehead and a symbol for his country. he cannot function alone. he needs subordinate administrators, advisers and consultants so he can formulate the best possible agenda that suites his vision of the country. vision is not limited to, nor should be it be exclusive for those who have formal academic degrees, though these help. the leadership of an administrator who does not have a vision is stagnant. the leadership of a visionary who does not have any means to realize his dream is futile.
