I just hope it won't turn out the same way as that of policemen found guilty of wrongdoing - meaning - transfer lang sa lain lugar. As if gi punish ang mga tawo sa iyang gibal hinan with a 'dysfunctional' priest. Tang2x na lang jud unta once found guilty.

OT; Actually its the Church who started this practice of transferring eering priests since time immemorial... Priests na nang sodomized ug altar boys ug choir boys, nakapamab-dos.. Do the Boston Diocese ring a bell

Actually, the Church has a bottomless pit of money to settle these cases... The allegations of child molestations happening in the US, Australia and Hongkong(rememberthat altar boy in HK who was raped repeatedly in the confessional box?) were settled with millions of dollars.... Pero ang nakapa-it lng kay pinoy raman... tagaan lng pang-kape LOL

a wrong doesn't make a right. just because there's a shortage of priests - tagaan nalang diay ta ug mga bulok nga pari. maypa wa nalang. they'll be doing more harm than good. how can they now celebrate mass and keep a poker face while delivering a sermon. follow what i say and don't follow what i do na diay ni ron? how can they be role models if these so-called undesirables are just assigned elsewhere as a form of punishment? what kind of punishment is that? if a pedophile priest is assigned to another place and continue doing what he does best- kinsa may atong basolon ana? the church is now knowingly feeding the young boys to these *** perverts.

maglisud naman gani ta ug awhag sa mga bata karon nga manimba. pun-an pa jud aning mga badlongon nga mga pedophiles ug maniakis. pastilan, regarding this issue naman - even if the reason given is - the girl seduced the priest- the priest ought to know better. the girl is only 17- walay buot in my book to know the difference- unya- unsay excuse sa pari- natintal siya kay he's only human. baloney- lumang tugtugin naman na. he should be man enough to admit his mistake and suffer the consequence.
i wanna bet this issue will be forgotten in a few more weeks - short memory man jud ta- mga pinoy.

yep. settled in the court. if it is true, the priest should rot in jail. his mistake is he had a sexual relationship with a minor. it's different from any mistake that i make everyday.

Well you can address those questions to the Church.. Thats their lame reason anyway... Shortage of priests daw... If people have problem with that, they should address it to them or better yet, stop going to Church and pray on their own... As for me, I have stopped believing in fairytales a long time ago...

Priest asks court to put off arraignment for child abuse

Through his lawyer, Fr. Jose Belciña is asking the court to postpone his July 21 arraignment on a child abuse case, on account of a pending motion.

Lawyer Gloria Lastimosa-Dalawampu filed the motion to suspend proceedings last Tuesday before Danao City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Sylva Aguirre-Paderanga.

She asked that the motion for reconsideration be resolved first. That motion questioned an investigating panel’s resolution that there was probable cause to charge the priest with child abuse.

An 18-year-old woman from Barangay Maslog, Danao City had filed a complaint against Belciña for three counts of rape.

The woman alleged that the priest raped her thrice between July 2005 and January 2006 in his quarters.
