I love Apple, their products are amazing. But I hate Steve Jobs' arrogant "take it or leave it" approach. What's even sadder is he can get away with it because any bad feedback on their products doesn't affect their sales. A lot of people still buy them, so Apple never really tries to rectify all the wrongs complained about. (They must be thinking, "Why spend and try to improve when we can save as it is? Let's put the updates and rectifications on the next product.") I really hate that he never directly confronted the "signal-loss" issue and instead looked for other things to pin the blame on. He's always like that on every issue about their products (no Flash on iPhone = Flash sucks, or something to that effect). It's like he can never do no wrong. That's one of the more major turn-offs for the "smart" buyers. Not that Steve Jobs gives a hoot though, LOL.

I love apple products. But, what a lame excuse. This would be a reason why I'll skip this generation of iphone. I'm still happy with my 3GS.

Lol I so agree. When he had that lecture-style presentation I thought he's gonna announce that they'll fix the "death grip" problem internally, and at least be SYMPATHETIC. Nag compare2x naman hinuon sa other smart phones in somewhat-like an arrogant way.

As for his solution, not all customers would like to have that rubber case thing on their iPhone 4. Tabla rag nipalit kag electronics then you found out there's a crack on it & the company just told you to put a scotch tape to seal it off. Take it or leave it, it's your problem now!!! heheh

Well at least Jobs is offering a full refund for those who are not satisfied by his problem "solution". But still, that's not what I've expected from the smartest CEO in tech.

Nokia, RIM, and HTC already fired back at Apple for the insults.. what i liked most was RIM's reply.

But then again, iPhone 4 problems and Steve Jobs' arrogance aside, you have to admit that their products are worth the price. When you get an iPhone (or any Apple product for that matter), it's for the long haul. All you have to do is keep updating and getting new apps. And the value never depreciates to great lows. You can't even find a 2007 iPhone selling for super cheap (a "super cheap" iPhone, even a second-hand one, would still cost as much as the regular starter/basic phones from other brands). They set the standard and became the team to beat, everyone is after their necks. Every time a phone comes out, the first question would more often than not be "How does it stack up vs. the iPhone?" That's the reality, and no matter how people say "the iPhone isn't worth crap vs. my _______ phone", the fact remains that the iPhone set the bar. Just like it was with the 90's Bulls and the Shaq-and-Kobe Lakers, the better you are, the more envied and hated you become. I resisted from getting the 3GS even if I'm a Mac user because I used to think that the iPhone is "binata" or "pa-choy2x" ra (and because I saw that the iPhone 4 was looming around the horizon), but after having surveyed the field I realized that the iPhone is still the champ. For all of the feedback saying "_______ is better", iPhone still reigns supreme in retail. You can't argue against success. I just don't like the way Steve Jobs is handling things!
