Wade slams Barkley



Dwyane Wade lashed out at his buddy Charles Barkley and others who have criticized LeBron James' decision to join the team, according to the Miami Herald.

Barkley said he's disappointed that James decided to ``piggy-back'' on Wade and Chris Bosh, instead of trying to win a championship on his own.

``The worst thing I've heard is from a colleague, Barkley, saying if he was 25 like LeBron, he wouldn't team up with guys,'' Wade said.

``But when he got older, he tried to team up with Scottie Pippen and Hakeem Olajuwon. Why wait until you're old and you have nothing left in the tank? . . . I always say Barkley says things to keep himself relevant.''

Asked whether Barkley -- his partner in T-Mobile ads -- would still be programmed in his cellphone, Wade said, ``I'm not taking him out of my [Fave] Five.''

``I have a big smile on my face. I'm playing with LeBron James and Chris Bosh. Why would I care what they say? . . . No matter what owners, [general managers] or players say, we will have to play. We understood when we did this, there would be some backlash,'' Wade said.

Robinson paid $5 for a pendant in the shape of LeBron James’ number 23 jersey at a yard sale four years ago.

On Wednesday, Robinson said she got a phone call that turned her dream into a nightmare. Robinson said it was Katherine L. Powers, the mother of Maverick O. Carter. Carter is the CEO of LeBron James’ marketing company, LRMR. ‘[Powers] said that LeBron James was at her house and they wanted me to come over there. They were going to make me an offer that I couldn’t refuse,’ Robinson said. It turned out the one-of-a-kind pendant belongs to Carter, who claims it was stolen.

‘When I got there, LeBron James was not there. It was about eight or nine other people there,’ Robinson said. ‘They pretty much accused me, they threatened me and they used their authority to they (sic) best ability to get the pendant in their possession.”‘
